History of Porto Cervo

The Old Port dates back to the sixties, when Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, fascinated by the beauty of this stretch of coast, decided to buy these lands and together with the Swiss-French set designer Jacques Couelle, then joined by the architect Luigi Vietti and later , but only partially, by architect Michele Busiri Vici, to build a tourist site. In 1967 the Yacht Club Emerald Coast was founded. In the eighties began work on the construction of the new port, and today is the most important luxury center in Italy!
